Introduction

Objectives of the Investment Climate Library
The overall investment climate and the tourism investment climate in Mozambique have been well documented in recent years with a wealth of diagnostics, toolkits, indices and reports commissioned and/or produced by various donors, consultants, analysts and government departments. The Anchor Team realized that while significant efforts had been undertaken by a wide variety of entities to document the tourism investment climate, few of these publications were easily accessible by a broader audience.

With the Investment Climate Library the Anchor Team aims to make these valuable documents accessible to a wider audience of interested parties and contribute towards increased transparency in the tourism investment climate.

About the Mozambique Anchor Investment Program
The Mozambique Tourism Anchor Investment Program was created in 2006. It stimulates growth and investment in Mozambique’s tourism sector by taking a practical, hands-on approach through pro-active project development in selected tourism zones. The program achieves this by identifying, planning, packaging and marketing Anchor Investment Opportunities to the international tourism investment community, while simultaneously clearing the administrative and regulatory constraints to tourism investment.

Securing sustainable investment in a strategic location of high tourism development potential will create an ‘anchor’ project that will stimulate further investment, infrastructure provision, job creation and enterprise linkages in the surrounding area.
